Dr. Ross Williams
Founder, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Ross Williams conceived and co-founded Carbon Planet in 2000 in a personal and commercial response to the increasing urgency of global warming and the lack of consumer carbon credit retail services available.
The foundation of Ross' knowledge was a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Adelaide, in the area of data compression.
Soon after completing his PhD, Ross founded the software company 'Rocksoft', created the Veracity data integrity software product and developed the Blocklets data de-duplication software technology.
Jim Johnson
Executive Director
Jim Johnson is one of Australia's most successful entrepreneurs in the information technology industry and a prominent Adelaide businessman.
Prior to joining Carbon Planet, Jim lived and worked in the US for several years where he was Director of the World Trade Centre Association.
Jim has extensive experience developing companies in Australia, the US and UK markets. He was also Founding President of the Australian American Chamber of Commerce.
Jim is also Chairman of Mirador Investments, Grazer Pty Limited and Feel Good Films, and is currently utilising his vast business skills in driving the expansion of Carbon Planet.
Dave Sag
Founder, Executive Director
Dave Sag is a pioneer of the Australian carbon management industry, with expertise in carbon accounting, engineering, trading and offsetting.
A serial entrepreneur, Dave's career began in information technology and later led him to complement his experience with careers in online retail, satellite-launch re-insurance trading and work at the European Patent Office.
In 1998, Dave received an Australia Day Council award for services to Australian business.
Having founded and grown a number of companies in Australia and Europe, Dave's diverse experience provides him with the insight to guide clients through the rapidly evolving carbon market.
Most recently, Dave was nominated by ABC Carbon as one of the 50 most influential carbon professionals in Australia for his leadership in green/eco movement and commitment to sustainability.
