Walk Against Warming
Australian activist group GetUp is pimping this year’s Walk Against Warming to be held on 11 November at 1pm in every city and town in Australia.
Last year, more than 100,000 people nationwide got together to walk for the climate action solutions we know exist, many of whom had never marched before. All you have to do is lace up your sneakers and find a walk near you. GetUp members will be out in force all over Australia - just look for the orange shirts and placards.
So get up and out there. Marching in the streets en masse is fun, and sends a powerful message to all of the political parties a mere blink of an eye before the upcoming Australian federal election. Carbon Planet people will be there too so feel free to come up to any of us with your questions. — DS
