Al Gore to launch the FEX this morning in Sydney
Former Next US President Al Gore will be the guest speaker at the Sydney launch of the FEX-SIM, Sustainability and Cleantech Investment Market; the world’s first market board focused on sustainability and clean-tech investments.
Commerce Carbon Exchange together with Carbon Planet have facilitated the listing of verified carbon credits to be listed on the National Environment Registry (NER) & traded on the FEX C&E trading platform.
On the same day, FEX Climate PTY LTD, the carbon and environmental arm of the FEX, will be soft launching the FEX-C&E. The FEX-C&E is a market board, information portal and broker network for trading verified carbon and environmental product. Currently, FEX Climate will be the only organization solely dedicated to enabling transactions between private parties that wish to seek improvements in the full range of environmental markets that exist: carbon, water supply, water quality and biodiversity.
Carbon Planet’s carbon brokerage team has been working hard behind the scenes with Commerce Carbon to ensure there are actually going to be carbon credits on the exchange this morning when it launches. There is a lot about this launch that is exciting, for me anyway, and I’ll be down at the launch today and apparently will get a minute or two to chat to Mr Gore one-on-one. — DS
