Radio New Zealand informs us Christchurch sells carbon credits for $3 million.
The Christchurch City Council has sold its carbon credits to British Gas for $NZ3 million.
The 200,000 credits were awarded to the Council by the Government in 2004 through the Projects to Reduce Emissions Programme - under the Kyoto Protocol.
