The 2005 Hurricane season seen as a whole
NASA have released a truly vivid animation of the 2005 hurricane season over the Gulf of Mexico, as seen from space. It is colour coded to show temperature variations and overlays names and locus of each hurricane.
What is breathtaking is the inescapable view of them all as a larger storm system hovering like an ominous carousel over the Gulf of Mexico and eastern coast of the USA. — DS
