Rainfall records show New Zealand’s weather is changing in line with forecasts for climate change.
The National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research says its analysis of rainfall over the past 100 years shows western New Zealand is getting wetter.
It says the figures also confirm expectations that climate change will mean more droughts on the country’s east coast.
