Greenland ice sheet flows faster during summer melting.

It’s not new news but its worth keeping in mind, in 2002 NASA reported: Greenland ice sheet flows faster during summer melting.
New measurements show that the flow of ice in the Greenland ice sheet has been accelerating since 1996 during the summer melt season. The results suggest that the ice sheet may be responding more quickly to the warming climate than previously thought.
The NASA article contains plenty of details on how this is happening and why. Now it’s some 4 years later and we’ve seen no slowing down of this melting. In fact it’s been accelerating faster than anyone would have believed possible.
