Carbon emissions from soil on the up
There’s an article in last week’s Guardian entitled “Carbon emissions from soil on the up“.
In it they posit that rising temperatures are encouraging soil to release more carbon, further increasing the greenhouse effect and outweighing much of the effort put into reducing emissions.
This to me just reflects the urgency of the problem. We are creating a vicious circle and we must act fast to reduce co2 emissions. Reducing your personal output is one way, and offsetting the rest is perfectly acceptable. At least you’ll not be making things worse.
